CDL Class A Drivers
Drivers will be responsible for hauling flatbed and lowboy trailers as well as being available to drive dump trucks. They will also be required to haul, load and unload heavy construction equipment making sure to follow all required legislation, policies and procedures while doing so. This position also involves detailed daily/weekly paperwork and many time restraints, so the successful candidate must be detailed, organized, and have good time management skills. Maintenance experience is a plus.
Key Task & Responsibilities:
- Follow all DOT rules and regulations including DOT physical cards.
- Maintain all DOT required paperwork
- Maintain all company required paper work
- Ability to work independently and to stay on top of schedule
- Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections daily
- Maintain all fluid levels in each vehicle.
- Ensure all equipment is safely and securely loaded each and every time.
- Have an attitude of honesty and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done safely and efficiently.
- Maintain personal and vehicle appearance standards set by the employer.
- Be punctual and responsible at all times.
- Willingness to do work outside of truck driving, which includes but is not limited to equipment operation and/or general labor work
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and practice workplace safety at all times
- The ability to safely operate a class A motor vehicle
- The ability to operate heavy equipment enough to load and unload
- Knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and stipulations
- Ability to read and write to keep up with daily and weekly paperwork

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type:
- This is a full-time position. Employees may be paid hourly or per load to be determined by management.
Travel:
- Willingness to travel out of town regularly for work. May be expected to work evenings, weekends or swing shifts.
